My Favorite Instructional Design and Education Blogs

This week involves a search for and exploration of various blogs and resource sites relevant to the field of instructional design and training.  Though I added a few new ones, these three remain my favorites for instructional design.

ChristyTucker's Experiencing E-Learning blog contain the best information for both new instructional designers as well as experienced designers looking for new ideas.  Christy is an instructional designer who develops online graduate courses for K-12 teachers.

Cathy Moore’s Making Change assists Instructional Designers  find practical ideas to assist in developing lively, non-boring e-learning for adults in the business world.

Cammy Bean’s Learning Visions is focused on the more practical issues of instructional design and e-learning.

I do have to comment on the addition of this blog to my list of favorites as well (http://brainrules.blogspot.com/ ) as I just returned from a training session with Dr.  John Medina.  He is a developmental molecular biologist and research consultant, author, speaker, and an affiliate  Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington School of Medicine.  He is also the director of the Brain Center for Applied Learning Research at Seattle Pacific University and the founding director of the Talaris Institute.  Dr. Medina shares how brain sciences can influence the way we teach and the way we work in his blog based on his research of "Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School".  This will change how you think and design for education and workplace training.
